01 — Who I am

I’m Adam. I grew up in Manchester, but Oslo has been home since 2017. I started out in law, then swapped suits for startups, and today I’m co-founder and COO of Autopix, where I run operations and product.

Over the last ten years I’ve built the operational and product side of four businesses. They’ve ranged from two of us at a kitchen table to more than 100 people and a network of suppliers in five countries. I haven’t had an exit, and I haven’t led a fundraise, but what I have done, a few times now, is take something messy and make it work: the systems, the product and the team.

I make the biggest difference early, while the product and operations are still taking shape; I help turn them into a business that lasts.

02 — What I bring

  • Creating the product

    Find out what clients actually need, then build it.

    I led the build of our AI pipeline, our mobile apps and a rebuild of four web apps in nine months.

  • Building the operating model

    Build how the work gets done, then rebuild it as we grow.

    I’ve taken our production from 100+ remote staff to 15 suppliers in five countries, then a hybrid AI workflow. Clients didn’t feel the bumps.

  • Hiring & leading teams

    Hire for attitude, then give people room to grow.

    I give people responsibility early and make it safe to ask questions and own mistakes. Some early hires now lead major parts of Autopix.

  • Legal & compliance

    Where the law degree earns its keep.

    I draft and negotiate client and supplier contracts, write our terms and privacy policies, and take us through GDPR, the EU AI Act and enterprise procurement.

    Grew to 500+ client companies and 1,400+ active users, and helped sign an official partnership with Toyota.

    2018 — 2022(4 yrs)

    Took a rough MVP to scale. A small app experiment did so well it became Autopix.

    2016 — 2022(6 yrs)

    A 3D visualisation studio and my first company. Doing every job myself taught me what a business actually needs to run.

  4. General ManagerStudio OL3

    2016 — 2018(2 yrs)

    Third on the team. We became Dr Martens’ lead store design partner and reached almost £1M in annual turnover.

04 — How I work

  1. Same rules for everyone.

    I won’t ask anyone to do what I wouldn’t. Whoever you are, you get the same respect and a proper hearing.

  2. Say the hard thing early.

    If something’s wrong, you’ll hear it from me. I’d rather have an awkward conversation today than an expensive one later.

  3. Own the outcome.

    If it’s mine and it goes wrong, I fix it, whoever caused it. Then I find out what it taught me.
