What Autopix taught me
I helped build both the product and the operational backbone from scratch. I led platform redesigns, restructured teams, reinvented systems, and landed major partnerships — all while keeping production on track.
It taught me how to scale without losing grip on quality. How to fix what’s broken, cut what’s bloated, and stay focused on what actually matters.
A clean break from 3sixty
Autopix wasn’t just a rebrand — it was a reset. In 2021, after gaining early traction with a mobile tool at 3sixty, we made the call to start fresh. New name, new company, new focus. We bootstrapped it from the ground up — no outside funding, just two of us figuring it out.
I led the transition across the business: restructured the model, moved teams, and made sure clients didn’t feel the bumps along the way. Over time, I helped hire key leadership — people who challenged us, sharpened our thinking, and helped shape what Autopix became.
Redesigning with purpose
We didn’t make small tweaks — we rebuilt key parts of the product to make it work better, not just look better.
On our web app, we redesigned and refactored the front-end to be faster, simpler, and easier to use. I led that process — working across product, design, and development to find the right balance between user needs and resource constraints.
On mobile, we rebuilt both apps from scratch. That included in-app onboarding and a guided photo tool we built in collaboration with Toyota — all focused on reducing friction and helping users get results without handholding.
Laying the foundation for scale with AI
One of the biggest shifts I led was the design and rollout of our AI production pipeline. I headed up the MVP from the ground up — not just from a product angle, but from a systems one.
We built a platform that could plug in our own models and third-party ones, letting us automate core production steps in a way that gave us flexibility, consistency, and real leverage.
It’s reduced turnaround times, improved margins, and allowed us to scale without adding headcount. We’ve since rebuilt the platform to a much higher technical standard, and I’ve continued to lead that work — aligning design, product thinking, and engineering execution in close collaboration with our CTO.
Monetisation that made sense
We built a new pricing model from scratch. I designed a shift from per-image pricing to value-based packages that reflected how our customers actually used the platform.
It gave clients more value, made revenue more predictable, and helped us keep churn low — without overcomplicating it.
Reinventing the operational model
We moved from a team of 100 remote staff to a supplier-based model, and eventually toward a hybrid AI-driven workflow. I led each phase of the transition and made sure the changes actually improved the business.
Each shift was about reducing complexity, staying lean, and delivering consistently. I was hands-on in reshaping these systems while keeping quality high and operations stable.
Culture, hiring, and building people
I’ve always prioritised hiring people with the right mindset — not just the right CV. That’s how we’ve built the team we have today. Some of the early hires now lead major parts of the business.
I’ve worked hard to build a culture where people feel comfortable asking questions, owning mistakes, and speaking up. That starts by doing it myself — making it okay to make mistakes, and showing people they’ll be supported when they try.
TL;DR?
Led product, buiness operations, and AI development at Autopix. Scaled the platform, redesigned the apps, landed key partnerships, hired key staff and reshaped how the business runs.
